Chewonki offers three separate summer programs: traditional boys resident camp, girls wilderness camp (see listing), and a variety of coed wilderness trips.

Located on a 400-acre coastal peninsula, Chewonki’s non-competitive boys camp emphasizes nature, sailing, archery, kayaking and much more. Each cabin participates in an overnight or wilderness trip. Wilderness trips for teens include: sailing or sea kayaking along the coast, whitewater kayaking, canoeing and/or hiking and a unique kayak building expedition.

No previous experience is necessary. We teach you all the necessary skills for a successful experience. A Chewonki summer develops new skills and interests, a collaborative community through the guidance of our exceptional staff, and an appreciation for the natural world. Each camper returns home with substantial personal growth.
